Compliance

International Code Council (ICC)

The International Code Council, a membership association dedicated to building safety and fire prevention, develops the codes used to construct residential and commercial buildings, including homes and schools. Most U.S. cities, counties and states that adopt codes choose the International Codes developed by the International Code Council.

Transcon Steel is a proud member of the ICC and all products produced by Transcon Steel are compliant with ICC standards.

Underwriters Laboratory (UL)

With 110 years as one of the world's leading product safety testing and certification organizations, Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL) is synonymous with safety. Its UL Mark is the most recognized and trusted symbol of safety in the world.

Transcon Steel’s raw material products have all been tested and approved by UL for construction fire-rated assemblies.

International Standards Organization (ISO)

ISO (International Organization for Standardization) is the world's largest developer and publisher of International Standards.

ISO is a network of the national standards institutes of 157 countries, one member per country, with a Central Secretariat in Geneva, Switzerland, that coordinates the system.

Transcon Steel’s raw material vendors are all ISO quality compliant organizations. Transcon Steel is in the midst of ISO certification for compliance with 9000, 14000, and 18000 regulations. It is estimated by the end of first quarter 2008 Transcon Steel will be awarded all certifications.
