Description:
Participants will learn the most practical and efficient design applications
for cold-formed steel framing in residential construction using the latest
tools as well as the 2004 edition of the AISI Standards; General Provisions,
Prescriptive Methods, Headers and Trusses. Also introduced are the new Lateral
and Wall Stud Design publications.
Learning Objectives:
After completing this course, participants will be able
to:
- Full understand what information is included in the various
AISI Standards and how this information is used in cold-formed
steel construction.
- Identify other resources for constructing with cold-formed
steel.
How Taught:
The CES facilitator utilizes a PowerPoint presentation
of actual on site details of construction with CFS.
Handouts of the presentation will be provided. This
is an interactive session and encourages feedback from
the attendee.

Facilitator Qualifications:
The Steel Framing Alliance CFS facilitators have been
trained on CFS guidelines and presentation skills. All
are experts in the use of CFS in construction.
